Did you know that Dorian Harewood made his Broadway debut over five decades ago as an understudy in 1971's Two Gentlemen of Verona? In those 50 years, he's gone from understudy to Tony nominee!

"[The Notebook] is one of the most unique productions I've ever seen or been in- the way it's structured and the music and book are done," he told BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge. "For me, the most exciting part is working with Maryann Plunkett as 'Older Allie'. She is a brilliant, giving, and challenging artist. Every performance there is something new going on. I have to stay on my toes and I love it."

Watch as Dorian chats more about returning to Broadway, why this show meant so much to him, and so much more. Plus, check out who he is up against and catch up on all the latest Tony Awards coverage!

The 77th Annual Tony Awards will air on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
