NON-UNION PRODUCTION: Annie
With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations… and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt! She finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
Audition Requirements:
Please submit a 32-bar cut in the style of the role you’re auditioning for. No acapella. Only sending a performance reel submission will not be considered.

ANNIE CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:
All roles are available. All ages listed are “stage age” The Orphan roles will be double cast.
Annie: A spunky, optimistic orphan who can sing, act and dance. This child has to carry major parts of the show and needs to be a confident, hard working performer. Strong mover.

Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano (A to high F)
Oliver Warbucks: A very rich man who cares more about his money than his relationships with others, until he has his heart stolen by an 11 year old girl. He is gruff, powerful and imposing. Mover.

Vocal range: Strong Baritone (C to high F)
Grace Farrell: The private secretary to Oliver Warbucks. She is attractive, graceful and competent in her role. She is motherly to Annie and wishes to be more than Warbucks’ employee. Mover.

Miss Hannigan: A lonely woman who runs the girls orphanage. She hates her job and is mean to the girls. She longs for a way out of her boring life and would love some male attention. Excellent comic timing needed. Mover.

Rooster Hannigan: The younger brother of Miss Hannigan, Rooster is the villain in the show. He is mean, slimy and has recently been released from jail. Rooster should be able to move well. Dancer.
