Seph Stanek BIO
Joseph Stanek is a multitalented American entertainer, known for his versatility as a Broadway actor, professional singer, television and concert producer, multiple chart-topping studio album producer, and vocal coach to Hollywood’s brightest stars. In recent years, Stanek’s career-defining, world record-breaking concert productions have solidified his reputation as a formidable creative authority with an influence that is shaping the cultural landscapes of both Hollywood and Broadway.
Notable projects include ABC’s Primetime Thanksgiving Special “I’m Coming Home,” (which Stanek co-produced with Whoopi Goldberg). NBC’s “A Very Wicked Halloween" (starring Ariana Grande and Idina Menzel). And “Angels Among Us,” (Producer) a massive, three-day concert event, PBS television special, and live musical album featuring the world famous Tabernacle Choir.
Through his freelance enterprise Tour de Fierce, Stanek has helped raise millions of dollars for charitable causes across the globe including The Andrea Bocelli Foundation, The Trevor Project, and the Kristin Chenoweth Arts and Education Fund, for which he has served as a member of the Board of Directors. In addition, Stanek’s groundbreaking music-education initiative (entitled “Places”) was recognized and celebrated on stage by The Recording Academy with the 2019 Grammys on the Hill Award for Philanthropy.
With a burgeoning stage career that already spans four concerts at Carnegie Hall, his Metropolitan Opera debut, a 7-year company member of the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players, and nine Off-Broadway contracts, Seph has garnered a reputation for his versatility across opera, musical theatre, concert, and film media. No stranger to the European stage, Seph appeared with the Opera Lyrique-en-mer (located in Belle ile-en-mer, France) as Luther in Les Contes d'Hoffmann and Commissionario/Piquillo in La Traviata, and has given concerts throughout France and Italy. Seph has performed in concert alongside musical greats such as Josh Groban, Debbie Reynolds, and Carol Channing. He appeared at Lincoln Center with musical theatre icons Kristin Chenoweth and Andrew Lippa in the New York debut of "I am Harvey Milk" with the Orchestra of St. Luke's.
His constant presence in the New York theatre scene has the New York Times calling him, "...incredible; [his] rock-solid acting performance coupled with the great use of his beautiful singing voice will have you wanting to come see the show again."
He has had the honor of singing for both President Obama and President George W. Bush. Other singing appearances include concerts at the Library of Congress, San Francisco City Hall, and Los Angeles' Getty Center, with Figaro and the internationally acclaimed recording group The Twelve Irish Tenors. In television, Seph has appeared on HBO's Boardwalk Empire and Mildred Pierce.
