Chicago Shakespeare Theater Reveals Cast of THE LORD OF THE RINGS - A MUSICAL TALE
Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) has announced the cast and creative team of the highly anticipated The Lord of the Rings – A Musical Tale. Based on the books by J.R.R. Tolkien, this production comes to the stage in a US premiere production directed by Paul Hart, July 19–September 1, 2024 in The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare.

Newbury's The Watermill Theatre has announced the full cast of their upcoming musical; a brand-new production of THE LORD OF THE RINGS, a musical tale based on the classic trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien, with book and lyrics by Shaun McKenna and Matthew Warchus and music by A.R. Rahman (Bombay Dreams, Slumdog Millionaire), Värttinä and Tony Award winner and Grammy nominated Christopher Nightingale (Matilda the Musical).

LOSERVILLE is an original musical, written by ex-Busted singer/songwriter James Bourne and writer/composer Elliot Davis, was commissioned and produced by Youth Music Theatre UK at the Wilde Theatre, South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell in 2009. It was subsequently optioned by Kevin Wallace for professional production and premiered at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds in June 2012. The musical - revised and revamped - will hit the West End this October. Watch the official promo for the show below!

Shaiman and Wittman lent their talents for a surprise Q&A with the students of Broadway Artists Alliance. Following the Q&A, they led a Song Interpretation master class.

This year's show, '100 Years of Broadway,' will feature some of the most talented individuals in the New York Metropolitan area, as they perform some of the most beloved music of the Great White Way, on this historic stage. Signed to appear are Andrew Koslosky, Mariel Pacifico, Don Gormanly, John Rodriguez, Amanda Doria, Cecilia Vaicels, David Arzberger, Dan Stravino and a whole host of others.
