The minimum base weekly salary for the positions being auditioned for is established by a collective bargaining agreement between The Off-Broadway League, on behalf of the above-named producer, and Actors' Equity Association. For Off-Broadway, it is anticipated that the base weekly salary for each of the below-listed roles will be $811 per week (which equals an annualized base salary of $42,172) and a maximum of $1,000 per week (which equals an annualized base salary of $52,000).

SYNOPSIS: In GHOST OF JOHN MCCAIN, the former senator awakens in the afterlife to find himself not at heaven's gates, but trapped inside the mind of Donald Trump. As a prisoner of Trump’s war to win the approval of an establishment that Trump both reveres and scorns, McCain must fight for his freedom by engaging in a high-stakes debate over life, legacy, and American values. Along the way he gathers a coalition of colorful characters living rent free in Trump's head, from Hillary Clinton and Lindsay Graham to Kanye and Grizabella. This musical comedy is a psychological exploration of two larger than life rivals who represent the full spectrum of human nature, the roads we take to power, and the prices we pay to “win.”
CASTING NOTE: Ghost of John McCain is performed by a chameleon company of six comedic and dynamic actors. It is not important that the actors resemble their characters’ real-world counterparts in any way.
JOHN MCCAIN – (Male, 30s-60s) Arizonan senator and 2008 Republican presidential candidate, in the immediate aftermath of his passing. A war hero and public servant for six decades, McCain is a stubborn negotiator and believer in the American ideal.
DONALD TRUMP/AS CAST (Male, 18+-early 20s) Real estate mogul and 45th President of the United States, as he sees himself. Inside his head, Trump has never grown up – he’s still in the prime of his youth, when anything was possible. Like most teenagers, he needs to be liked by all and is petulant when not given instant gratification. He wants to be where the hottest thing is going down and gets distracted easily. However, he has the life experience and vulgar vocabulary of adult Trump.
DONALD TRUMP’S ADULT BRAIN/KANYE/TEDDY ROOSEVELT/AS CAST (Male/Female, Black, 30s-50s) Over the loudspeaker we hear a strangely familiar voice of some authority, which turns out to be the voice of Donald Trump’s Brain. The Brain eventually makes a physical appearance onstage as well, hosting debates and dance offs. Doubles as dragon-slayer Kanye West and Teddy Roosevelt, among others.
LINDSEY GRAHAM/ROY COHN/JOE BIDEN/AS CAST (Male, 30s-50s) Doubles characters ranging from an ancient Joe Biden, kinky Senator Lindsey Graham from South Carolina, and Roy Cohn, the “gay mafia lawyer from Angels in America.”
HILLARY CLINTON/DAUGHTER-WIFE/AS CAST (Female, 30s-50s) Doubles characters ranging from Hillary Clinton to Daughter-Wife, someone who represents the women in Trump’s life as best as he understands them.
KAREN/EVA PERÓN/GEORGE BUSH/AS CAST (Female, 30s-50s) Doubles characters ranging from Karen, an average voter from Arizona, to Eva Perón, to George W. Bush.
