BWW is always seeking talented theater enthusiasts to head up feature coverage our over 130 regional areas. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to review the shows of your choice, conduct interviews with local and touring talent, design features of your own choosing for publishing, and work/network with your local theater press reps to bring exposure to the theatrical offerings in your area.

All applicants should have excellent writing skills and an interest for giving local theaters and productions some prominence on BroadwayWorld.com.

Chris has been reviewing theater throughout Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts since 2006. He recently moved back to Massachusetts and now works in Boston, but spends his free time at his home in Southern Rhode Island.

A life-long Rhode Islander, Erica has been an avid theatre-goer since being taken to children's shows at the Warwick Musical Theatre. She is also an academic librarian in Boston, an occasional ballet dancer, and is working on a series of novels about the lives of people in the performing arts. Jay Pateakos

Jay Pateakos, a former full-time newspaper journalist, started his theatre review journey more than 10 years ago and has reviewed more than a hundred plays for the Herald News of Fall River and Cape Cod Times for performances at Providence Performing Arts Center, Trinity Repertory, Zeiterion Theatre and more than a dozen theaters across Cape Cod.  He has been reviewing for Broadway World Rhode Island since the fall of 2021.

Jessica Tabak is a writer and teacher working in the Providence area. She has a BA in Theater and English and a PhD in English. While in college, she filled theatrical roles both on and offstage. These days, she most enjoys playing the role of dog parent to her glorious corgi.


John McDaid
John McDaid

John G. McDaid is an award-winning science fiction writer and freelance journalist from Portsmouth, RI. He grew up in NYC, where visits to Broadway sparked a life-long love of theater. He worked both on-stage and off during college — including as tech director on a national tour — before moving into a career in corporate communications. A graduate of New School University with an MFA in fiction from Salve Regina Univeristy, he did doctoral work in media ecology at NYU and is an adjunct professor of communications at Roger Williams University. He is a member of the American Theatre Critics Association, and sees as many shows as he can in Rhode Island -- and beyond.
