ACTOR 2 / LIZZY: (late 20s – early 30s) Actors of all races and ethnicities are sought and STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. Female, Late 20s/early 30s. Too smart for her own good, always clever, sometimes harsh and/or glib. Stubborn and spirited. Gets flustered, which makes her klutzy. Prides herself on good judgment. Bit of a goofball extrovert.

ACTOR 3 / LYDIA / LADY CATHERINE: (20s – 30s) Actors of all races and ethnicities are sought and STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. Female, 14. Lively, prone to imitating others’ behavior and eavesdropping. Can put on airs. Enjoys balls and boys. Prides herself on cleverness. May double with LADY CATHERINE (Character Portrayed is 50s), Patrician Caesar-meets-drill sergeant, hellbent on making a good match for her daughter. Capable of being quite casually cruel; knows she gives excellent advice. Unused to defiance; accustomed to flattery.

ACTOR 4 / MR. DARCY: (30s – 40s) Actors of all races and ethnicities are sought and STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. Male, 30s-40s. Effortlessly aristocratic, too proper for his own good. An introvert whose awkwardness is often mistaken for aloofness. Prides himself on self control and good judgment. A dry sense of humor that conceals a desperate fear of being mocked, made fun of, or being the butt of a joke.

ACTOR 5 / WICKHAM/MISS BINGLEY/MR. COLLINS (30s – 40s) Actors of all races and ethnicities are sought and STRONGLYENCOURAGED. Male, 30s, an unfairly handsome and charming gentleman with a golden tongue and the ability to immediately deduce how to best flatter someone. May

triple with MISS BINGLEY (Character Portrayed is Female, 30s), a very rich young woman, sister to Mr. Bingley. Snotty, elegant, fancies herself witty. Hot on Darcy’s heels. May triple with MR. COLLINS (Character Portrayed is Male, 40s): Rector and sycophant to Lady Catherine. A self-important academic. He tries hard to be impressive. The original mansplainer.)

ACTOR 6 / MR. BINGLEY/MARY: (30s – 40s) Actors of all genders, races and ethnicities are sought and STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. Character portrayed is Male, 30s-40s. A bouncy, impetuous golden retriever of a man -- loves the world and the world loves him. Wealthy. Inclined to exaggeration; impossibly good-natured, and thus easily led. May double with MARY (character portrayed is Female, teens): The third Bennet girl -- the runt of the litter. A dark goth Bronte character trapped in an Austen world, prone to pendanticism and sulking and tuberculotic coughing fits. Likes to demonstrate her learnedness.
